Posthumous issue of Hermaeus Soter Struck by the Indo-Scythians (70 BC – 1st century AD)
After the decline of Indo-Greek rule, the Indo-Scythians (Sakas), led by Maues and later rulers like Kujula Kadphises, issued posthumous coins in the name of Hermaeus Soter. These coins reflected the Indo-Scythians’ adoption of Greek numismatic traditions while incorporating their own cultural elements

OBVERSE: Diademed and draped bust right, ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΕΡΜΑΙΟΥ
REVERSE: Zeus seated slightly left, raising hand and holding scepter; monogram to left; legend in Kharosthi script
