Iranian Huns. Western Turk Dynasties. Turk Yabghus in Tokharestan (mid 7th cent. AD)
The title “Lord Yabghu” likely refers to the rulers of the Turk Yabghus of Tokharistan, who governed the region under the Western Turkic Khaganate from approximately 600 to 680AD. The Yabghu (or Jabghu, from the Old Turkic Yabğu) was a high-ranking title in the Turkic political hierarchy, often denoting a viceroy or semi-independent ruler governing a frontier region on behalf of a larger Turkic empire.
