AV imitation of Constantinople mint gold solidus of Justinian I (542-565AD)

Such thin gold bracteates are said to be burial tokens, uniface burial piece derived from a gold solidus of the late Roman emperors. Gold burial pieces were normally placed on the corpse during the burial, or attached to its shroud or other ornaments
