Zahir al-Din Muhammad Babur,  founder of the Mughal Empire, issued coinage reflecting his Timurid heritage and his evolving rule from Fergana to Kabul and finally India. His coins continued the Timurid tradition, while later issues incorporated Persian, Chagatai, and Arabic legends
