Unlike royal issues bearing the names of rulers, these anonymous municipal fulus were produced for everyday local circulation and reflect the economic life of one of the region’s most important commercial centers.

Featuring a peacock or a crane -while the reverse bears the inscription “Fulus Qandahar” together with the Hijri date 1110AH
