Inscription: “Land of al-Jibal, year 166AH”
Time of Caliph Al-Mahdi (المهدي), whose full name was Abu Abdallah Muhammad ibn Abdallah al-Mansur. He was the third Abbasid Caliph, ruling from 158 to 169AH (775 to 785AD). He was the son of Caliph al-Mansur, the founder of the city of Baghdad and a key figure in consolidating Abbasid rule after overthrowing the Umayyads
